What are HID kits?
HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. HID Conversions are simply replacing your factory lighting to HID lighting with HID kits. The benefits of having a HID lighting system on your vehicle are better visibility, longer lasting bulbs, and higher performance lighting. A HID kit will completely replace your vehicles current lighting system.
What's included in a HID conversion kit?
The 3 parts of a HID kit are the bulbs, ballasts, and starters. The bulb, of course, is the source of light. Bulbs in a HID kit differ from traditional bulbs because they don't contain filament. Instead they are filled with a mixture of gases. The HID bulbs are powered by the ballasts, which amplify the current that is sent from the starters. The starters send the signal from your vehicle to the ballasts.
How do HID Kits Benefit You?
HID lighting kits completely change the way you see the road. The light generated by a HID kit is brighter and more intense than traditional bulbs. Also, other than the improved visibility, HID kits offer longer life. Since there is no filament to break you do not have to worry about damaging your bulbs.
